I'm inviting you to bring belonging to your home
You're at home, and you're feeling particularly lonely. Whether it's because you've lost a loved one, you've had a fight with a friend, or the world is just getting a bit too much. Maybe you're missing your home town. You might feel a bit left behind and you wonder if you really even matter.
You're looking at one of my pieces and this is what I want you to remember... The piece is a mirror looking back at you. Just like you, its physical home was with it's other 48 siblings and It's been separated from his home.
Despite this, it still holds the symbol of connection within itself. The golden thread of connection runs through it, and it's never truly alone. Home can be found within it's body and spirit. All your experiences, all your memories and everything that led you to where you are now is built on all these amazing connections you've made in life.
Every other human being right now is also continuously making connections in some way or another. This can be with themselves, their family, their loved ones, their community and their spirituality.
Whatever it is you're feeling, be it depression, happiness, anxiety or excitement, know this: There are thousands of other people right now, feeling exactly the same as you are. You might be a unique individual, but you're not exempt from humanity.
You can bring this energy of connection in your space and be reminded that you're part of the bigger whole.
Remember, you belong.

Rooted Connections is a contemporary art series by UK artist Anna Legaspi, featuring 49 hand-painted panels layered with intricate black and white layers with gold accents. This acrylic, mixed-media installation explores authentic connection and belonging, born from Anna's personal journey.
In this world where loneliness has become an epidemic, Anna's art acts as a reminder that in our heart of hearts, we all belong. We are all cut from the same cloth and made of the same thread, and in our shared imperfection, we are never truly alone. We are all authentically connected to each other.

While these 49 panels are currently displayed as a single, unified grid, their true purpose begins when they are separated.
Each panel is designed to be sold individually.
When you take a piece of Rooted Connections into your home, you are holding one part of a larger story. Your panel will have "siblings" scattered across different homes, cities, and perhaps even countries.
Even though a panel may be physically separated from its creator and its original grid, it is never truly alone. It remains forever linked to the other 48 pieces through the shared pattern, the golden thread, and the hearts at every corner. Owning a piece of this series is a reminder that you, too, are part of a vast, invisible network of authentic connection.

The Birth of Rooted Connections
This project began at a profound crossroads. In early 2025, upon learning that my kidney disease had progressed to Stage 4, I was forced to look inward. While my career in the mortgage industry provided value, I realised I had been neglecting my creative soul. This lost creativity is a part of me that truly supports my well-being and offers a sense of purpose beyond the daily grind.
Through a deep-dive program called You The Artist, I stripped away the noise to answer one question: Why am I alive and what is my purpose?
It was in that space of vulnerability that my purpose became clear: To heal relationships and create authentic connections. Rooted Connections is the direct fulfilment of that mission. Every panel in this 49-piece series was born from that moment of clarity.

The use of black and white represents the dichotomy of the world we live in. The good and bad, the light and dark. It is an acceptance that one cannot exist without the other, and that beauty is found in the balance of both.

Gold
A golden thread travels through every piece, weaving between the complexity of humanity. This represents the consistent, unbreakable bond that connects all things and beings, regardless of circumstances.

Hearts are on every corner, of each piece, which creates golden symbol of connection when all panels are together. It's a reminder that we all belong and what we're all come from the same stardust.

Designed as a catalyst for meaningful change, Rooted Connections offers reflections and invitations to help you foster authentic connections and nurture the bonds that matter most in your life.
It is a space for both internal discovery and outward action, reminding us that we are all made of the same thread and are never truly alone.
